Hi experts,

 

I'm confused about the Google display content network. when I promote APPs on GDN, there is a list of display placement to choose, for example tools, games, social network and so on. And I really don't know what's the meaning of these placement, and how Google put my ads on these placement. Do these placement to GDN like keywords to google search?

 

I'll be appreciate if you could answer my question!

Hi, These placements are app category. If you choose tools category, your ads will display on tool apps,such as clean master, map app, translation apps. I recommend that you choose the app category related with your app. If your app is about online shopping, you may choose shopping or social network category in case that clients likes sharing what they are shopping with their friends. If you want to get more new app users, you may target all app category.After that you may deep dive on the app category report to see which one brings you more users. I don't think it is like keywords to google search. These categories to GDN are for targeting. hopefully these information is helpful.

Many thanks. One more question, when I put my ads on GDN, Dose Google choose display placement according my app's url or property? How could I get my ads in front of the right people ASAP?

If you choose campaign type-- "display network only-drive action" , when you create an ad group and fill in landing page, you may get system suggestion that is related to your app. When you put your ads on GDN, Google will choose display placement according to the targeting methods you choose. And your ads CTR, QS, relevance will influence your ads performance. Or you may direct to the tools tab and get targeting suggestions from display planner.
